Role and Responsibilities

ideas42 is seeking a mission-aligned team member to join our Financial Health focus area as a Senior Behavioral Designer. We envision a world where products, services, and programs are informed by behavioral science and designed to meet the financial needs of people of all socio-economic classes, ages, races, abilities, and genders so they can have a financially secure present and a self-determined future. You will have an opportunity to do work that drives financial health for people living on low- to moderate- incomes by working on creating or refining products, institutional processes and systems change.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching and working with the team to understand financial health topics and systems.
• Managing field projects, including intervention design, implementation, monitoring, and impact evaluation; serving as the day-to-day contact for partners and clients.
• Developing full-scale project plans, structure and timelines; managing self and project colleagues.
• Assisting/leading primary and secondary research such as surveys, interviews, and literature reviews.
• Writing and presenting findings to meet the needs and contexts of different audiences.
• Contributing to grant proposals, policy papers, and other research.
• Participating in internal strategic projects, including various aspects of organizational improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of relevant work experience in a financial services/financial health environment (direct service, research, nonprofit, fintech, government, etc.).
• Mission-aligned, self-starter, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of statistics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to high-quality output.
• Available and willing to travel on a flexible schedule as needed (typically less than 25%).
• Creative, smart, logical and structured thinkers.
• Passion for understanding human behavior and pursuing innovation.

Preferred qualifications

• Master's degree.
• Experience with Stata.
• A background in strategy, marketing, or product development and management & client-facing experience.
