What You’ll Do
As the Tech Lead of our mobile team, you’ll collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to architect and deliver high-quality mobile features that solve real customer problems and create business value. You will be responsible for building a new system from the ground-up to unlock new business value for our industry-leading point of sale financing products and services. You will be able to wear multiple hats touching everything from security, performance, monitoring and building for scale.

- Engineering Leader: Serve as the technical leader, mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best coding practice
- People Management: Manage, coach, and grow a high-performing team of mobile engineers. Provide career development support, set goals, and foster an inclusive and collaborative culture
- Technical Vision & Strategy: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to define and execute the technical roadmap, ensuring scalability, performance, monitoring and security
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Who You are
- 5+ years of hands-on experience building and shipping iOS and Android applications in production environments
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and driving technical direction (formal management experience preferred)
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, React Native, Go, Java or TypeScript
- Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Database Skills: Basic understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB
- Security-Focused: basic understanding and experience for API security standards (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
- CI/CD & Automation: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and deployment tools
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Location Requirement: This position requires regular in-person attendance at our Arlington, VA office location. Candidates must already be located within a commutable distance, as relocation assistance is not available at this time.
Preferred Qualifications
- Database Skills: Strong understanding of databases including query optimization and scaling
- Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, etc.) to monitor distributed systems
