Position Overview:

The Director of Admissions will lead a growing, results-driven team of ambitious Admissions Advisors with a mission to exceed enrollment targets for Upright’s digital bootcamps and skills training programs. This role demands a hands-on leader with a proven ability to build and scale teams, create impactful coaching frameworks, and develop performance-driven playbooks. You will drive a sales culture of motivation, grit, and determination to consistently meet and exceed enrollment goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and scale a high-performance admissions team.
  • Recruit, train, and develop top-tier talent to ensure a results-driven and cohesive team that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead and motivate the team to consistently exceed enrollment targets through effective coaching, mentorship, and performance-based strategies.
  • Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive playbooks that outline sales techniques, best practices, and goal-achievement strategies.
  • Conduct regular, impactful training sessions on consultative sales, objection handling, pipeline management, and closing strategies.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, fostering a high-energy, competitive atmosphere focused on surpassing daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
  • Design and execute data-driven sales strategies to maximize conversions, streamline the admissions pipeline, and ensure consistent growth across bootcamp programs.
  • Monitor key performance metrics, including conversion rates, pipeline health, time-to-close, and advisor activity, using data analytics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, learner success, and partnership teams to align messaging and ensure a cohesive learner experience.
  • Uphold partner brand integrity and support joint enrollment initiatives through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure the admissions team provides a consultative, supportive experience that helps prospective learners understand program structures, career pathways, and financial options.
  • Establish personalized, responsive admissions processes that foster engagement and trust with prospective learners.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a sales-driven role within education technology, bootcamps, or similar sectors, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • 3+ years of experience building and leading admissions or sales teams, with demonstrated success in driving performance and unlocking individual potential.
  • Strong expertise in consultative selling, pipeline management, and closing techniques, with a data-driven approach to performance analysis.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales playbooks, training programs, and scalable operational processes that drive consistent outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and engage team members and prospective learners.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) and experience with multichannel communication strategies.
