Role Overview
As a Curriculum Manager at Upright, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience for our learners. You will lead the development and optimization of our curriculum, ensuring that it remains current, effective, and aligned with industry standards. You will collaborate closely with instructors, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to create engaging and impactful learning materials. This role requires a deep understanding of the skills and knowledge required in relevant industries and a strong commitment to quality education.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Collaborate with subject matter experts and instructional designers to create and update curriculum materials, including lesson plans, assignments, assessments, and learning resources.
- Instructional Design: Work closely with instructors and educational technologists to design effective and interactive online and offline learning experiences. Incorporate multimedia elements, simulations, and real-world projects to enhance the learning process.
- Pedagogy Development: Apply best practices in adult learning theory and pedagogy to create a learner-centric experience. Develop strategies to maximize student engagement and retention while accommodating diverse learning styles.
- Industry Research: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure that our curriculum remains up-to-date and relevant.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and consistency of curriculum content by conducting regular reviews, assessments, and feedback sessions with instructors and learners.
- Alignment with Learning Objectives: Work closely with instructional designers to align curriculum with clearly defined learning objectives and outcomes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and innovation in our curriculum, and implement changes based on feedback and data-driven insights.
- Instructor Support: Provide support and training to instructors to ensure they are equipped to deliver the curriculum effectively.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Implement assessment strategies to measure learner learning outcomes and use data to drive improvements in curriculum design.
- Compliance: Ensure that the curriculum adheres to industry certifications, licensing requirements, and regulatory standards, where applicable.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, admissions, and learner support, to ensure seamless program delivery and learner success.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of industry trends and requirements in the technology fields, including development, coding, design, data analytics, and marketing.
- Experience with online education platforms and tools.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Passion for education and a commitment to improving learner outcomes.
