Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Head of Business Development to join our organization. As the Head of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our company by identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships with colleges and universities, and enhancing our market presence. You will play a key role in shaping our business development strategies and initiatives to achieve our revenue and growth objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the overall business development strategy and plans to drive revenue growth and expand market share.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, collaborations, and business opportunities that align with the company's vision and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with colleges and universities.
  • Drive the sales process from lead generation to deal closure, working closely with the partnerships and admissions team to achieve revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for lead generation, brand awareness, and customer acquisition.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients and partners.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development and operations, to ensure the successful execution of partnerships and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze business development metrics and key performance indicators to track progress, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to educate them on available financing options and how to effectively communicate those options to buyers.
  • Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities that lie outside of our current markets and business model. Develop and execute strategies and initiatives to successfully tap into these growth opportunities and drive revenue expansion.
  • Act as liaison between grant organizations and accounts receivable operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead in the market.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the online education or tech industry.
  • Strong understanding of the online training/bootcamp industry, with a track record of driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and closing strategic partnerships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen and the ability to identify market trends and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating a team.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.
