Job Description

Upright Education is searching for an enthusiastic and qualified individual to join our team as a Teaching Assistant for our Tech Sales Bootcamp program. As a Tech Sales Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in assisting the bootcamp instructor in guiding participants through our comprehensive tech sales curriculum. You'll provide support during virtual interactive sessions, assess assignments, offer technical assistance, and motivate learners to excel in their journey toward mastering tech sales. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in teaching or mentoring and a comfortable understanding of core tech sales concepts, including but not limited to; sales strategies, customer engagement, communication techniques, and CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot. 

Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Assist the instructor in facilitating virtual classroom activities, including lectures, discussions, and hands-on exercises related to tech sales concepts, tools, and techniques on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST. 
  • Student Assistance: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, answering questions, clarifying doubts, and guiding them through challenging concepts, assignments, and projects.
  • Assignment and Project Review: Review student assignments and projects, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement to enhance their sales skills and deepen their comprehension of the subject matter.
  • Technical Guidance: Aid students in navigating sales tools, methodologies, and technologies.
  • Office Hours: Hold regular office hours to make yourself available to students for additional support outside of regular class time.
  • Grading: Assist in grading assignments, presentations, and exams, ensuring fairness, accuracy, and consistency in evaluation.
  • Material Preparation: Collaborate with the instructor to create and update teaching materials, including presentations and supplementary resources.
  • Workshops and Tutorials: Lead workshops and tutorials on specific sales topics, helping students deepen their understanding through interactive sessions.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest sales tools, techniques, and methodologies to deliver high-quality support.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of tech sales concepts, strategies, and methodologies, encompassing areas like sales techniques, customer relationship management, communication skills, and sales psychology. Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey intricate concepts to learners of varied technical backgrounds.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing and evaluating student work, offering comprehensive and constructive feedback.
  • Time Management: Ability to balance multiple tasks and responsibilities, maintaining a proactive and organized approach to support both students and the instructor.
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving sales techniques and tools.
