Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced UX/UI Design Bootcamp Mentor to join our dedicated team. As a Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and mentoring learners through our intensive bootcamp curriculum. You will facilitate engaging and interactive sessions, review lessons, lead workshops, and inspire participants to excel in their UX/UI design journey.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging and interactive classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST.
• Review and facilitate lesson retrospectives on Mondays and Wednesdays, helping learners reinforce their understanding of the curriculum.
• Lead Thursday workshops in a collaborative and hands-on style, guiding learners through projects, exercises, and design challenges.
• Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and growth.
• Provide personalized feedback and guidance to learners on their projects, designs, and assignments.
• Collaborate with the curriculum development team to enhance the bootcamp curriculum based on industry trends and learner feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest UX/UI design practices, tools, and technologies to ensure high-quality instruction.
• Mentor and support learners in their career aspirations, helping them prepare for a successful transition into the UX/UI design field.
• To be clear, you are NOT responsible for connecting students to jobs, utilizing your professional networks, or providing leads for which you do not feel comfortable. Our students succeed because they are prepared, aware, and realistic. This is not a “pay to play” situation. We have an amazing career services team and welcome your input to improve our process!

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a UX/UI designer (3-5 years) with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex design concepts in an accessible manner.
• Knowledge of current UX/UI design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Ability to create a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages active participation and engagement.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively.
• A passion for education, a growth mindset, and a desire to contribute to the success of aspiring designers.
