What we are looking for:

Semperis is looking for a Data Warehouse Engineer to join our Business Analytics team. We are looking for an individual that has strong hands-on expertise in cloud data warehousing and is passionate about data and analytics. As a strategic member of the team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of a modern cloud data platform that supports business intelligence, advanced analytics and data science.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of the data and analytics landscape at Semperis including data sources, data and analytic assets and products, analytic tools and software, and master data

  • Deploy and manage cloud data warehouse

  • Perform data warehouse maintenance, optimization and configuration tuning

  • Determine data design and development, including data architecture, modeling and ETL development

  • Create simple, flexible, and scalable data models to meet the wide range of business needs across the organization

  • Define and manage cloud data warehouse and big data technology standards, guidelines, and processes to ensure data quality

  • Oversee end-to-end cloud data warehouse and big data life cycle management activities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related discipline and 8+ years of professional experience

  • Proven experience in data architecture, data warehouse, and/or data design

  • Demonstrated experience delivering scalable data warehousing products to support operational and analytical data needs for operational systems, data science, and analytics teams

  • Strong experience in designing scalable and enterprise-scale conceptual, logical, and physical data models

  • Strong knowledge & implementation experience of data warehousing concepts, data modeling techniques, and industry best practices

  • Demonstrated expertise in ELT patterns and processes, with a focus on scalable data pipeline development, data quality assurance, and data privacy management using modern tools such as dbt

  • Proven ability to implement robust data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with privacy standards across complex data ecosystems

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • Experience with one of the following BI reporting tools is a plus (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.)

  • Solid technical and analytical skills with the ability to communicate across the organization and manage multiple priorities
