What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Federal Sales Leader to join our team. The AVP Federal at Semperis will be a key part of the Sales Leadership team.
What you will be doing:
As AVP Federal Sales, you will create and implement a strategic sales plan to grow revenue and market share within federal government agencies- civilian, DOD, IC government sectors. This role needs a skilled leader with extensive knowledge of federal procurement, a strong network within federal agencies, and a demonstrated track record of success in leading federal software sales teams.
You will be tasked with building the Federal Sales Practice for Semperis, leading a small founding Federal Sales Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify target agencies and key opportunities to drive business growth.
Work with Federal focused VARs, distributors and SIs to develop relationships and commitment for mutual business development
Stay informed about market trends, competitive landscape, and federal procurement policies to adjust strategies as needed.
Lead, recruit and mentor a high performing team
Drive overall Federal business strategy including analyzing market opportunity, and leading the go-to-market planning
Meet and exceed federal sales revenue targets.
Attract top talent and build the sales organization to achieve growth goals
Provide accurate weekly forecasts to senior management while monitoring all metrics to assure the team meets both sales and key selling objectives.
Be deeply involved in the team’s complex deals to help negotiate and close in a timely manner.
Build strong internal collaborative relationships with business development, marketing, channel, technical, and product teams.
What you will bring to the table:
10+ years minimum experience in federal sales DOD, Intelligence, Civilian government sectors, with a focus on cybersecurity software solutions.
3+ years as a leader of a high performing Federal Sales team
Cybersecurity/ Identity Industry background required.
Start up experience and/or experience building and leading new teams in a high growth, fast paced environment required
Understanding of the information security channel network of partners. Semperis is 100% Channel.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in the federal sector.
Strong sales methodology and forecasting skills (MEDDPICC, etc)
Deep understanding of federal procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior government officials and key stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to travel as needed is required
