Senior Developer (Salesforce Experience)

Engineering 📍 Amsterdam

In a nutshell

As a developer with experience in both Salesforce and non-Salesforce technologies, you will join the Customer Success (CS) team, which focuses on identifying customer issues as early as possible and provides the information and tooling required to solve them quickly and efficiently for an award-winning customer experience - whether through our human agents or autonomously.
In this role, you will collaborate with passionate peers, who are all driven to build robust, maintainable and intuitive user-facing products using the latest technologies and tools. Combining a strong understanding of Salesforce, a solution-oriented product mindset, and an eagerness to learn, you'll go beyond just advising on features. You'll take ownership of projects, collaborate across teams, and drive the full software delivery process while challenging the status quo and pushing yourself as well as the team to new heights. You will have the freedom to take initiative in enhancing the product and its underlying technology.

Tricks of the trade

Ownership: Take ownership of projects, grow, and work collaboratively with your colleagues, users & other stakeholders
Development: Design, test, evolve, and refine the core aspects of our operation with a creative and analytical approach that reduces complexity, while also preparing RFCs, designing, implementing, and rolling out new features with a strong focus on both functional and non-functional quality.
Problem-Solving: Challenge and refine business requirements from a technical perspective while collaborating with stakeholders to resolve ambiguity, break down, estimate and prioritize initiatives.
Mentorship: Review designs and code of teammates, share knowledge, coach and mentor others
Bridge between technologies: Dive into & integrate adjacent non-Salesforce services and codebases, such as third-party voice contact providers, ML classification algorithms, and database-backed archival routines.
Support: Support existing products and work with other developers to resolve incidents, including occasional on-call shifts.
Our Tech: Salesforce Service Cloud, Configuration, Apex, Visualforce/LWCs, RESTful integrations, DX & Unlocked Packages, Intellij or VSCode; scratch orgs, Git, Github, TeamCity

We are looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field.
2+ years of professional experience with Salesforce implementation
3+ years of development experience with non-Salesforce tech stacks e.g. Java, Typescript, SQL, Python
Deep expertise in core Salesforce technologies including Apex, Lightning frameworks (LWC/Aura), and Salesforce DX with unlocked packages
Proven track record bridging technology gaps and integrating Salesforce with other (non-Salesforce) systems
Rigorously applies software engineering best practices including version control, testing, observability, access management and data lifecycle management
Strong analytical and conceptual skills to analyze tradeoffs and design optimal configuration/composition vs customization/code solutions
Your English skills are on point (no Dutch required)

Bonus Points

Experience with or interest in CI/CD, ML, data analysis, databases, SRE
Experience in working in a dynamic/fast-paced environment and/or with a long-term product vision
