As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a passionate and experienced quality control specialist for fruits and vegetables to help us ensure that we deliver the highest quality products for our customers each day!

As the Fruit and Vegetable Quality Control Checker, you will play a vital role in our operation. You will work at our Distribution Centre in Geldermalsen to ensure that our customers receive only the freshest and highest quality products. You will be responsible for conducting rigorous quality control checks and procedures throughout the day. As you work directly in the operation on the work floor you are in charge of upholding quality standards across our Fruit and Vegetable Distribution Centre.This role requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining the highest standards of product quality.

What you’ll do

Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming fruit and vegetable shipments to assess freshness, quality, and adherence to quality standards.

Investigating quality issues: Investigate and address any quality-related issues or customer complaints promptly and effectively.

Reporting: Writing Quality Control Reports based on your checks.

Evaluating supplier performance: Monitor and evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Ensuring compliance: Work closely with our operations team to ensure proper handling, cold chain compliance, and transportation of products, maintaining freshness and quality.

⭐ About you

Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.​

Proficiency in or willingness to learn quality control processes, inspection techniques, and food safety regulations.​

Preferably some expertise in fruit and vegetable quality standards, grading systems, and industry best practices.

Interest in working in a logistics environment.​

Preferably 1-3 years of experience in quality control/quality assurance, in the food industry with a focus on fresh products.​

HBO educational background related to food quality, agriculture, or a relevant field is a plus.​

Availability for flexible working times; morning shift 06:00-15:00 and afternoon shift 14:00 - 23:00

Availability for weekend shifts

Good level of English; Dutch is a plus.

Market salary, depending on your work experience

Travel allowance from €0.21 per km if you live further than 10 km from the FC

25 vacation days per year, based on 40hr (or fulltime contract)
