Are you an ambitious and experienced team leader in Service & Maintenance, ready to take the next step? Do you want to be part of our new Fulfillment Centerin Dordrecht, and use your expertise to help build the maintenance-function within Picnic? We offer you the chance to build and lead the maintenance team in our Fulfillment Center in Doredrecht, and then grow to build these teams in other locations.
🥜 In a nutshell
As the leader of our internal maintenance team, you and your team of 3-4 engineers work to ensure our Material Handling Equipment works smoothly when we need it. You use your expertise and skills to plan preventive maintenance, resolve and analyse the root cause of incidents, and ensure our groceries are delivered on-time without any issues.
The fulfillment Center runs 7 days a week, 18 hours a day, and we’ll need to do maintenance outside these hours as well. To achieve that, your team will work in shifts to ensure round-the-clock coverage. You use your expertise to ensure your colleagues know exactly what to do even when you’re not there, to optimize the efficiency of the maintenance planning, and to ensure clear communication to the rest of the Picnic-team in the Fulfillment Center.
Dordrecht is the first site where we do the maintenance of our MHE ourselves, rather than fully outsourcing this to our MHE supplier. The first, but not the last. Now that we’re building smart automation at more and more of our sites to make work faster and less physically demanding, setting up an organization that does this efficiently is one of our emerging priorities.
🎯 What will you do?
- Help design the team, the processes and the systems (e.g, Computerized Maintenance Management System, or Asset Management System) for the maintenance team in Dordrecht, so that it’s ready when the site goes live. Where possible, you’ll be involved in recruiting and selecting the right people
- After go-live, lead the team of engineers, and help them further develop their skills and craftsmanship
- Plan inspections and preventive maintenance in line with the manufacturer’s recommendations, and optimize maintenance plans in a data-driven way
- Identify and plan continuous improvement opportunities to ensure systems run in an optimal way. That includes the way of working for the team, as well as upgrades and enhancements to the equipment
- Perform root cause analyses on major incidents and complex recurring problems, to identify why they happen and how we can prevent them from happening
- Manage and optimize the spare parts stock and ordering
- Advise your colleagues at Picnic headquarters and other fulfillment centers about building maintenance teams and a maintenance function within Picnic
⭐ About you
- You have a technical diploma at MBO-4, or HBO in a field like Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
- You have knowledge and practical experience in electrical and mechanical systems - experience in an automated distribution or fulfillment center, and experience with conveyors is a plus
- You have one or more years of experience in leading teams
- You bring insights into relevant concepts in developing Asset Management (important processes, certifications, best practices)
- You demonstrate strong communicative skills, and work well with both your technical colleagues and the Fulfillment Center leadership team
- Fluency in Dutch and English
- You are proactive, looking to learn and a creative problem solver
