🥜 In a nutshell
At Picnic, the customer engagement and loyalty within the domain in online groceries is unprecedented. This gives us unique opportunities to shape meaningful communications and build lasting relationships with our customers. The customer team is responsible for doing just that: telling Picnic's story and for building meaningful relationships with Picnic's customers.
As a Visual Design Intern, you will join a team of designers, analysts, communication coordinators and copywriters from the start of a communication initiative until we reach our customers' doors. Each project, we aim to learn more about our customers and become better at shaping our communications to their needs.
🎯 What you’ll do
Your goal is to design the most engaging campaigns that directly speak to our customers and ensure all our assets across multiple channels are in line with our brand.
- Ensure brand consistency across multiple channels and help shape the future of our visual identity
- Create and update email campaigns and social media assets
- Adopt an overall analytical approach to design by testing and validating your designs either through user test or A/B testing online
- Work and learn from experienced designers, analysts and business stakeholders internationally (the Netherlands, Germany & France)
- Research retail trends and conduct competitor reviews to keep the team up to date
⭐ About you
- Student at a relevant design school
- Solid online portfolio showing a keen eye for detail paired with lots of creative flair
- Competent with Adobe Suite: Illustrator and Photoshop
- Self-starter with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude
- Eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Affinity for illustration and experience with animation are a plus but not a must
- English skills on point

Attractive package
We offer €800 gross salary per month for a full-time internship as well as 12.5 vacation days per six months, so you can recharge your batteries
Work-life balance
Where possible, we like to enable people to work in ways that suit their working styles, which is why we have a hybrid-working model. Our teams generally like to have at least one team day per week at the office (the tasty lunch and Barista-made coffee may be a factor), but besides that, it’s up to you and your team.
