🥜 In a nutshell 

The role of Category Manager in the private label team focuses on analytical, strategic & creative projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Picnic products that bring a smile to your face 🙂  You will manage the entire process of the development of our private label products from A to Z, from analysing range strategies to product tasting to international sourcing to design creations. Together with a passionate team, your goal will be to select the best products for the best prices and make sure that they have a stunning design. As a key part of the private label development team, you will work closely together with category managers, suppliers, buyers and our design agencies, so strong project management skills are key.

 

🎯 What you’ll do

  • Analyse range strategies
  • Perform margin & pricing analyses
  • Evaluate packaging designs
  • Research and develop sustainable packaging options
  • Create beautiful and affordable products that are designed for the home, not for the shelf 
  • Drive negotiations and/or tender processes Manage various stakeholders including suppliers, design agencies and supply chain

 

⭐ About you

  • MSc. degree
  • 1-3 years work experience in a commercial, analytical and/or product development role in the retail industry
  • Strong conceptual, project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Affinity with food, tasting & design
  • Work proactively and be able to switch between strategic and operational work
  • Persistence and enthusiastic mindset
  • Analytical mind but not afraid of getting creative
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
