As the largest security company in the world, Microsoft is uniquely positioned to help customers protect what matters most while enabling innovation. We work with organizations to strengthen their cyber security foundations—across identity, data, endpoints, and cloud—and to adopt a more integrated, platform-led approach to managing risk.

We are expanding our Security business and are looking for a proven Sales Leader to drive growth and customer impact.

About the role

As a Security Solutions Sales Director, you will lead a high-performing team of security specialists and engineers to drive Microsoft’s Security business across enterprise customers in Australia. You will shape and execute go-to-market strategy, accelerate growth, and position Security as a core enabler of your customers’ business and AI transformation.

You will engage senior business, risk, and technology leaders to elevate the security conversation from technical solutions to strategic outcomes—strengthening cyber resilience, simplifying security architectures, and embedding trust into digital transformation.

This role requires a balance of strong sales leadership, commercial acumen, and security domain expertise. You will define territory strategy, identify growth opportunities, and drive disciplined execution—leveraging data, market insights, and ecosystem partnerships to deliver sustainable results.

What you bring

  • Strategic leadership: Proven ability to define and execute growth strategy at scale, aligned to market opportunity and customer priorities

  • Enterprise sales leadership: Track record of leading teams in complex enterprise environments, driving large, multi-solution engagements with Security as a key focus

  • Executive engagement: Credible and trusted advisor to C-suite across technology, risk, and business functions

  • Cross-organisational orchestration: Lead alignment across Microsoft teams, partners, and stakeholders to deliver unified outcomes

  • Security domain depth: Strong understanding of cyber security foundations—Zero Trust, identity, data protection, threat detection, and cloud security

  • Business impact mindset: Ability to position security as a business enabler—supporting resilience, compliance, and innovation

  • Partner ecosystem leadership: Build and scale co-sell motions with SIs, ISVs, and security partners

  • People leadership: Build, coach, and inspire high-performing teams; develop future leaders and drive accountability

  • Market insight: Interpret regulatory, competitive, and technology trends to inform strategy and execution

  • Operational excellence: Drive forecasting discipline, pipeline health, and data-led prioritisation
