Overview

The Microsoft Ads System and BI team operate at the vanguard of large-scale distributed systems, managing one of the most sophisticated and high-volume ecosystems in the industry. Our mission is to transform trillions of daily advertising signals into actionable intelligence through a robust infrastructure built on state-of-the-art technologies. We leverage a unified architecture that seamlessly integrates real-time streaming/fast batching via Flink, Kafka, Spark, ClickHouse, etc. from instrumentation to analytics and managing complex orchestration across global clusters. We provide the backbone for critical business decisions and real-time auction dynamics. Engineers on our team architect resilient, petabyte-scale solutions that define the standard for modern reliability and high-throughput processing in a global marketplace.

In the current era of generative intelligence, we are fundamentally redefining the boundaries of Business Intelligence by deeply embedding AI into the core of our advertising products. Our team is pioneering the shift toward "Generative BI," where Large Language Models allow customers to interact with complex datasets using natural language, effectively turning raw numbers into strategic, actionable narratives. We prioritize an engineering culture that embraces innovation, utilizing autonomous coding agents and advanced development tools to accelerate our cycles and solve non-trivial challenges in AI-driven synthesis. You will work on the bleeding edge of technology, building intelligent systems that automate insight discovery and optimize system performance through predictive orchestration to shape the future of digital advertising, creating products where advanced engineering and transformative AI converge to deliver unprecedented value to our global partners.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
