We are looking for experienced product manager with deep product management expertise, extraordinary leadership, and demonstrated large-scale program management success across cross functional orgs. You should have exceptional industry knowledge, deep understanding of Data center utilization across space, power, cooling, networking and other constraints, and have the executive presence to lead complex and time sensitive initiatives.

In this role, the successful candidate will partner closely with key engineering leaders to drive programs focused on transforming how we serve our customers. You will partner with business and software teams for designing, developing and executing enterprise-level process, data and technology strategy that enables comprehensive and cohesive business strategy, anchored in value delivery and realization. These programs will be on the leading edge of innovation and will include driving pilots and other experiments that shape ongoing strategy in delivering our supply chain and data centers efficiently. You balance strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to influence decision makers within the leadership and execution teams spread across Azure.



Responsibilities
  • Product Ownership & Execution
    • Own end‑to‑end product roadmap and delivery focused on accelerating DC Utilization and driving improvements in power stranding, from requirements through live production.
    • Drive execution across multiple parallel workstreams, ensuring alignment on scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.
    • Establish clear success metrics and mechanisms to track delivery, quality, and velocity.
    • Document appropriately all artifacts during deliberative processes and established consensus
  • Cross‑Functional Leadership
    • Partner deeply with hardware engineering, software engineering, infrastructure, networking, data center operations, and supply chain teams to unblock execution.
    • Act as the central point of coordination across highly interdependent teams and external partners.
    • Influence decision‑making with data, technical insight, and strong executive communication.
  • Technical Rigor
    • Develop deep working knowledge of Data center components critical for Utilization acros networking, storage, racks, power, cooling, and platform readiness.
    • Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation strategies across software, and operational domains.
    • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable plans for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Acceleration & Continuous Improvement
    • Identify bottlenecks and non‑value‑added activities across the deployment lifecycle and drive improvements to reduce time‑to‑live.
    • Define and implement repeatable deployment playbooks, standard operating procedures, and automation opportunities.
    • Leverage retrospectives and data to continuously improve deployment velocity and reliability.
  • Cloud & Platform Readiness
    • Ensure platform, tooling, monitoring, and operational readiness of platforms prior to production cutover.
    • Partner with service owners to validate scalability, resiliency, security, and operational support models.
  • Executive Communication
    • Provide crisp, data‑driven updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, mitigation plans, and business impact.
    • Clearly articulate tradeoffs and recommend paths forward in high‑ambiguity environments.


Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
  • 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
  • Experience working across products driving Data Center Utilization and reducing power stranding
  • Familiarity with data center operations, hardware lifecycle management, or global deployment programs.
  • Experience driving cycle‑time reduction or large‑scale process transformation.
  • Background working with hyperscale cloud platforms or enterprise AI services.


Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
