This role leads server component pricing, with end to end ownership of monthly rate card publication, pricing analytics, and financial governance. The position is highly visible and plays a critical role in shaping server economics, ensuring pricing accuracy, and driving cost transparency across Microsoft’s global infrastructure footprint.
The role combines strategic leadership, advanced analytics, and deep business partnership, influencing decisions across sourcing, supply chain, and operations. Success requires building and leading a high performing finance team, modernizing pricing processes through automation and AI, and ensuring strong financial controls in a complex, fast moving environment.
Responsibilities
People Management
- Lead and develop a high performing finance team, modeling Microsoft’s culture, leadership principles, and growth mindset.
- Set clear objectives, coach across organizational boundaries, and invest in the professional development of team members.
- Attract, retain, and inspire top finance talent while fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and accountable team environment.
Server Pricing & Rate Card Ownership
- Own the monthly server rate card publication process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business and sourcing strategies.
- Establish pricing governance frameworks that balance cost transparency, scalability, and financial discipline.
- Drive continuous improvement in pricing methodologies and analytics to support evolving business needs.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted finance partner to sourcing, supply chain, and operations leaders to drive cost efficiency and price accuracy.
- Influence decision making by translating complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations.
Analytics, Tools & Process Modernization
- Lead the adoption of advanced analytics across server pricing and rate card processes.
- Oversee development of dashboards, automation, and standardized reporting to enhance cost and spend visibility.
- Integrate and interpret complex data sets to generate actionable insights that inform supply chain and capacity decisions.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
- This role follows a hybrid work model and is based in Redmond, Washington. Employees are expected to work on-site in Redmond on a regular, recurring basis in alignment with business and team needs.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in finance, pricing, analytics, supply chain finance, or related roles within a complex, global organization.
- Demonstrated experience owning pricing, rate cards, cost models, or financial analytics that directly influence business or sourcing decisions.
- Proven people leadership experience, including building, coaching, and developing high‑performing teams.
- Business partnership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across finance, operations, and sourcing.
- Experience working with large, complex data sets, translating financial and operational data into actionable insights.
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity, balance strategic thinking with execution, and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
Financial Analysis M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
