We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Security who is passionate about driving our customers’ security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

The Customer Success Architect (CSA) for Microsoft Security partners with enterprise customers to strengthen their security posture and reduce risk using Microsoft’s security platform. As part of the Customer Success Unit (CSU), this role leads strategic technical engagements across the Microsoft Security portfolio, with a focus on XDR, cloud security, and identity protection.
The CSA designs and delivers secure, scalable, and resilient security solutions using technologies such as Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra, and cloud security capabilities across Azure and Microsoft 365. Working end to end, the role guides customers from early security strategy and architecture through deployment, optimization, and adoption, applying Success by Design and Zero Trust principles to drive measurable security outcomes.
Beyond solution delivery, the CSA acts as a trusted security advisor to customers and partners. This includes translating business and risk objectives into practical security architectures, advising on operational models such as SOC modernization and incident response, and shaping adoption and change strategies aligned to industry frameworks and regulatory expectations.
The role blends deep technical security expertise with strong business acumen. CSAs articulate security value and risk reduction to both technical and executive audiences, contribute to customer success plans, and support customers through complex security transformations. They identify opportunities to improve coverage, maturity, and usage across the security platform, while collaborating closely with engineering, field, and partner teams to scale impact across the customer portfolio.

Responsibilities
- You will drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor as well as provide feedback and insights from customers/partners and be the Voice of Customer to share insights and recommended practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
- You will land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.
- You will position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage as you develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to Microsoft recommended practices & using repeatable IP.
- You will accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits “Secure by Design” framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
- You will align your individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals as you accelerate customer outcomes and share your expertise, contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes.
- You will run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing the solution – governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
- You will collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience
- 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 4+ years experience working on technical projects
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications)
- Experience with Microsoft security capabilities, including XDR and cloud security, is preferred.
