Responsibilities
- Contribute to building and improving AI-powered features in Microsoft Word Copilot.
- Develop and apply Generative AI and deep learnings solutions in real-world product scenarios.
- Support experimentation and evaluation of AI features, to improve user experience.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and scientists across Microsoft.
- Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
- Learn and apply modern AI and software engineering best practices.
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience with one or more other programming languages including, but not limited to Python, Type Script, JavaScript, C/C++.
- Understanding key machine learning or data analysis concepts.
- Solid software engineering fundamentals, including coding and software design.
- Interest in AI and modern software development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past internship, academic, or project experience in AI, machine learning, data science or software engineering.
- Experience in applied machine learning (e.g., NLP/LLMs, deep learning, predictive analytics, computer vision, statistics).
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Statistics or related field
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
