Overview

Are you a security leader who thrives on solving complex problems, spotting trends, and partnering with customers to deliver meaningful outcomes? The Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD) Engineering & Architecture Group (EAG) Security Services is a global consulting and engineering organization that supports Microsoft’s most complex, leading-edge security services engagements. We accelerate early-stage deliveries, develop repeatable approaches and engineering standards, and capture IP—helping sales and delivery teams succeed while providing a consistent, high-quality customer experience grounded in technical and AI leadership.

As a Consulting Practice Leader – India Security Delivery Center (SDC), you will lead the transformation and execution of Microsoft’s India-based Security SDC as a fully integrated AI-first execution engine of ISD EAG Security Services. This role is accountable for evolving the India SDC from a traditional delivery/support model into a globally embedded security consulting organization operating across the full security lifecycle: strategy, presales, architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement.

You will drive adoption of Microsoft’s AI-first security consulting model, embedding India SDC capabilities into the global security practices and customer-facing engagements—not as a downstream function, but as a co-owner of outcomes. You will build durable, high-performing teams and a portfolio that delivers measurable business value, improved security posture, and repeatable innovation at scale for Microsoft’s most strategic customers.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the India Security Delivery Center (SDC) as a core execution arm of EAG Security Services, fully embedded across regional security practices and aligned to global go-to-market and delivery motions.

  • Create a customer-obsessed, outcome-driven culture; maintain executive stakeholder relationships; inspect and act on Voice of Customer (VoC) signals; remove delivery blockers as an escalation point; and sponsor systemic improvements to customer experience.

  • Champion and operationalize the AI-first security consulting model across the India SDC; drive adoption with partner teams; run a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement; and convert learnings into reusable assets and IP that scale globally.

  • Define and evolve the operating model so India SDC teams co-own the full engagement lifecycle (presales, architecture, delivery, and innovation), embedded into Security Transformation, Security Build, and Security AI Acceleration motions with clear roles, handoffs, and accountability for outcomes.

  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to drive business growth, profitability, utilization, delivery quality, and maturity through a strong rhythm of business (ROB), operational governance, and a culture of manager excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

  • Build organizational capability by anticipating future security skill needs; investing in professional development; driving succession planning; and setting clear career growth plans with coaching to strengthen technical depth, consulting skills, and leadership.

  • Drive continuous upskilling and reskilling through structured capability plans (training, hands-on labs, shadowing, coaching, and certification paths) with measurable targets, progress inspection, and timely course-correction.

  • Own business health for the India SDC by running a forecasting and performance rhythm (revenue, utilization, consumption, margin, and engagement health). Improve scalability and profitability through AI-first delivery, standard delivery assets, reusable IP, and operational rigor. Own delivery quality and risk management, including review mechanisms for architecture and delivery standards.

  • Partner with Security Sales to support presales and deal execution (close plans, delivery sponsorship, solution strategy, and deal governance). Review and influence deal constructs to ensure delivery feasibility, risk management, and alignment to Microsoft security priorities while enabling sustainable growth across the portfolio. Interface and partner with Product Engineering, Customer Success, Support, Partners.
