Overview

The Engineering Enablement & Operations (EEO) team enables the Microsoft commercial business to better serve every person and organization’s transformation and economic success. How? We design, build, and manage the levers that accelerate commercial growth—including compensation, business performance and insights, planning, skilling, and tooling and engineering.

The EEO Revenue Strategy team plays an important role in empowering every person in MCAPS to serve customers by activating and innovating Microsoft’s commercial engine. We are passionate about this mission, and we are looking for an execution-oriented senior contributor to be part of our Commercial Portfolio Acceleration team. This team is charged with prioritizing and aligning resources across the Commercial Business to deliver the strategic multi-year transformation of our commercial sales model and processes that accelerate growth, improve efficiency and leverage the best of AI to help us serve customers better.

This role blends commercial transformation strategy with enterprise business planning leadership, spanning nearterm execution and multiyear strategy. The Senior Commercial Portfolio Acceleration Manager will innovate how we partner deeply with MCAPS, Engineering, Finance, Commercial Marketing, and Planning & Launch teams to align strategy, prioritization, and execution for Microsoft’s most critical commercial investments.

Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Analysis

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on commercial transformation, informing near‑term and multi‑year portfolio planning decisions.

  • Partner with senior business and engineering leaders to ensure business issues, concerns, and priorities are well understood and to shape, align, and execute commercial business strategic priorities.

  • Lead integrated planning efforts that balance business impact, time to market, and execution feasibility.

  • Synthesize disparate viewpoints into cohesive strategies and defend recommendations with data‑driven insights.

Commercial Portfolio Acceleration Leadership

  • Identify, evaluate, and propose new transformation project work/deals based on unmet needs.

  • Assist with creating frameworks and methodologies to drive problem solving and insights. Shares best practices with peers

  • Contribute to integrated planning deliverables, business cases, and executive materials.



Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience in Portfolio Management, Management Consulting, or Finance.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience

  • OR equivalent experience.



Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
