The ISD Partner Strategy & Implementation Lead plays a pivotal role in executing and operationalising the FY26 ISD Partner Strategy. Reporting to the ISD Partner Leader, this role is responsible for translating strategic vision into actionable workstreams, defining success metrics, and ensuring cross-functional alignment across CE&S, ISD, EPS, and Services Sales. The successful candidate will drive the execution of the partner strategy, ensuring it lands effectively across the organisation and delivers measurable impact on partner performance, customer outcomes, and commercial cloud growth.

Responsibilities

Strategy Execution & Workstream Leadership:

  • Lead the execution of the FY26 ISD Partner Strategy by creating and managing the portfolio of workstreams required to operationalise the strategy. Define clear objectives, timelines, and interdependencies across initiatives such as partner tiering, governance, enablement, and ecosystem consolidation. Ensure workstreams are resourced, tracked, and delivered to plan. Outcome: A cohesive and well-governed execution plan that enables the successful implementation of the ISD Partner Strategy across global teams and to be performed to tight deadlines.

KPI Definition & Performance Tracking:

  • Establish the key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of the partner strategy. Develop dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track progress against strategic objectives, including partner performance, ecosystem health, and contribution to Azure Consumption Revenue (ACR). Partner with analytics and operations teams to ensure data integrity and visibility. Outcome: A robust measurement framework that enables data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement of the partner strategy.

Landing Plan Development & Change Management:

  • Design and execute the landing plan for the partner strategy across ISD and adjacent teams. Develop communication, training, and change management plans to ensure understanding and adoption of the strategy at all levels. Monitor adoption and adjust the landing approach based on feedback and performance data. Outcome: High levels of awareness, alignment, and adoption of the partner strategy across ISD and key stakeholder groups.

Stakeholder Engagement & Roadmap:

  • Develop and maintain a stakeholder engagement roadmap that ensures alignment and buy-in across ISD, EPS, Services Sales, and other key internal stakeholders. Facilitate regular forums, working groups, and executive updates to drive collaboration and resolve blockers. Outcome: Strong cross-functional alignment and shared ownership of the partner strategy, enabling seamless execution and impact.

Partner Value Proposition Development:

  • Define and articulate the value proposition for partners under the new strategy. Collaborate with Partner Marketing, Partner Operations, and Commercial Leads to ensure the value proposition is compelling, differentiated, and aligned with Microsoft’s broader partner ecosystem goals. Outcome: A clear and consistent partner value narrative that supports recruitment, retention, and engagement of high-performing partners.
People Management

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 12+ years experience program management, process management, or process improvement
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 15+ years experience in program management , process management, or process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years people management experience.
  • Experience years in 10+ years of strategy, business operations, partner management, communications and change management or consulting roles within the technology sector.
  • Proven experience in leading complex, cross-functional programs or strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate high-level strategy into executable plans. Skilled in program management, workstream coordination, and driving accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Proven capability in defining KPIs, building dashboards, and using data to drive insights and performance improvement.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across organisational boundaries.
  • Experience in designing and executing change management and landing plans for strategic initiatives.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and geographies, building trusted relationships and fostering a culture of shared success.


Business Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
