EMEA Communications Lead

The EMEA Communications Lead owns the end‑to‑end communications strategy and execution for the SME&C EMEA organisation.
The role partners closely with the SME&C EMEA Leadership Team, CVP Office, Business Management, HR, Marketing, and Corporate Communications to ensure clear, timely, and aligned communications that support business priorities, organisational change, and employee engagement across EMEA.
This role acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, shaping narratives, managing high‑impact moments, and ensuring consistent messaging across internal, leadership, and selected external‑facing channels.

Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Narrative
- Define and drive the EMEA SME&C communications strategy, aligned to business priorities, fiscal rhythms, and key moments (e.g., FY kick‑offs, Town Halls, leadership updates).
- Shape and maintain a clear EMEA SME&C narrative, ensuring consistency of tone, messaging, and priorities across regions and segments.
- Translate complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications for diverse EMEA audiences.
Leadership & Executive Communications
- Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders across SME&C EMEA.
- Develop executive‑level communications including leader updates, talking points, presentations, and written correspondence.
- Support high‑impact leadership moments such as Town Halls, organisational changes, and major announcements.
Internal Communications & Engagement
- Own internal communications channels and rhythms, including Town Halls, leadership cascades, and employee engagement moments.
- Partner with HR, Business Management, and Leadership Teams to support change management, culture, and engagement initiatives.
- Drive employee clarity, alignment, and energy across a highly diverse, geographically distributed EMEA organisation.
Cross‑Functional & Global Collaboration
- Work closely with Corporate Communications, Marketing, and global communications partners to ensure alignment with global narratives and standards.
- Contribute EMEA insights and feedback into global communications planning and optimisation.
- Ensure consistency with Microsoft brand, messaging, and communications governance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in communications, integrated marketing, campaign planning, or related roles, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and operating in complex, matrixed organisations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience in communications strategy, marketing strategy, business planning, or related disciplines.
- Experience working across EMEA with an understanding of regional, cultural, and organisational complexity.
- Strong executive presence, stakeholder management skills, and ability to operate with discretion and influence at senior levels.
