Senior Finance Manager - Cloud Corporate Partnerships

Our Cloud Corporate Partnership team is an exciting and fast-evolving finance organization at the forefront of Microsoft’s cloud growth. We partner deeply with Microsoft engineering, marketing, and business development teams to build strategic partnerships that deliver maximum value.
We are looking for an Azure Partnerships Senior Finance Manager to lead some of our largest and most strategic Azure partnerships. This role focuses on supporting operationalization of some of our largest partnerships (Anthropic, Databricks, Model as a Service) as well as new strategic partnerships in the database and analytics space through robust technical, financial, and business expertise.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities include:
Engaging with internal and external executives to clearly articulate the outcome of complex financial analyses
Partnering with Business Development, Engineering, Marketing, and other teams to guide healthy Azure partnerships
Creating robust financial models to evaluate complex transactions and determine negotiations guardrails
Developing frameworks to accelerate, simplify, and scale Azure’s deal making and partnership process
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Passionate about the technology industry, and ability to engage in technical discussions
- Written and verbal communication skills, enabling simple communication of complex topics to an executive audience
- Analytical skills and strategic thinking
- Modeling capabilities and ability to work with financial systems
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a fast pace
- Comfort working at multiple altitudes, from strategic/high-level projects to detailed analysis
- Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value/high-impact project results through both individual and v-team efforts
- Business partnering capabilities, with the ability to influence others without direct authority and appropriately push back when required
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- High level of self-motivation; ability to quickly identify what needs to be accomplished and resourcefulness to get things done
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
