As a Principal Engineering Manager – OneDrive iOS, you will lead a team responsible for delivering worldclass native iOS experiences on iPhone and iPad. You will work through Engineering Managers and senior engineers to drive architectural decisions, ensure technical excellence, and deliver new capabilities with high quality and velocity.

While the OneDrive iOS team is primarily based in the United States, we operate as a globally distributed team that embraces remote work. You will partner across PM, Design, and Engineering teams throughout Microsoft to design, prototype, implement, validate, and ship features that bring joy, reliability, and intelligence to the OneDrive iOS experience. • Guides partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams.
• Guides teams and leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform.
• Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment.
• Guides team to drive multiple group’s project plans, release plans, and work items in coordination with appropriate stakeholders.
• Guides team and monitors other engineers across product lines, working oncall to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions.
• Oversees product development and ensures products are scaled according to customer requirements, implementing appropriate techniques to address scaling and performance objectives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience managing a skilled engineering team, growing and nurturing talent, and hiring engineers.
