Overview

Microsoft Defender Experts provides expert-led services that help organizations defend against advanced cyberthreats, build long term resilience, and modernize security operations with confidence. The Microsoft Defender Experts combines managed extended detection and response (MXDR), end-to-end proactive and reactive incident response, and direct access to a designated Microsoft security advisor to help you protect your organization and accelerate security outcomes.

We are seeking for passionate cybersecurity professionals to join our growing team of Defenders. In this role, you will manage and lead a team of security researchers who proactively perform Threat Hunting to detect advanced attacks. This team investigates and responds to threats across Microsoft Defender customers using cutting-edge and AI enabled security tools and threat intelligence. The ideal candidate combines strong security expertise with a curious mindset and ability to effectively lead, coach and mentor the team.



Responsibilities
    1. Run managed detection and response operations, in close partnership with a globally distributed team.
    2. Lead our coordinated response to complex security threats and incidents to effectively protect our global customers.
    3. Use advanced tools, real-time analytics, AI and threat intelligence to rapidly detect an adversary and evict them from our customer’s environment.
    4. Collaborate with engineering, program management and researchers across defender products to help enhance Defender Experts capabilities.
    5. Manage scale of research, operations through automation and innovation and driving operational excellence through a data-driven approach.
    6. Attract, coach and retain the best talent in the industry.


Qualifications
    1. 15+ years of experience which should include experience in managing direct teams and leading Security research and operations in a large environment.
    2. Good understanding of large-scale enterprise IT infrastructure, including cloud and hybrid setup.
    3. Deep knowledge of various kinds of attacks, threats and mitigation measures.
    4. Ability to communicate effectively across a globally distributed team.
    5. Computer science or related educational degree.
    6. Proven experience around scaling security operations using technology and automation.
