The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty. Within GCS, the Delivery Partner Strategy & Management team, we are focused on enabling and empowering our Delivery Partner ecosystem to deliver a consistent and differentiated customer experience, aligned with CE&S vision, cultivating a foundation of Trust & Partnership.
As a Business Program Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment within the Delivery Partner Strategy and Management (DPSM) team.

You will play a critical role in aligning and executing the strategic planning processes alongside the leadership team, ensuring that all plans are in harmony with the business objectives and adapted to the unique demands of the organization. You will ensure internal continuation of business operations during all times, including periods of change or special circumstances, and work closely with Microsoft teams and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive execution plans. Throughout your role, you will learn to design budgets based on the strategic directions for the upcoming years and develop strong internal networks, enhancing your ability to support and drive the team's activities in line with the leader's goals.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Integration & Leadership Enablement
• Act as the Leader's strategic extension, translating priorities into executable plans, milestones, and outcomes.
• Own the integration layer across strategy, operations, people, finance, and partner engagement.
• Anticipate risks, trade‑offs, and interdependencies, proactively surface recommendations and options.
• Executive Operating Cadence & Governance
2. Own the end‑to‑end operating rhythm for the Leader:
• Leadership team meetings
• Executive reviews (QBRs, MBRs, LT syncs)
• High‑visibility internal and external forums
• Drive clarity on decisions, actions, owners, and timelines; ensure follow‑through and closure.
• Maintain rigor across governance, compliance, and cross‑functional accountability.
• Program & Initiative Execution (High‑Risk / High‑Visibility)
3. Lead orchestration for complex initiatives including:
• Delivery Partner Summits
• Vendor onboarding and compliance‑sensitive programs
• Strategic pilots and rollouts
• Executive engagement motions
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, MS Digital, Engineering, HR, and partner teams to unblock progress and maintain momentum.
• Ensure execution coherence across parallel workstreams and geographies.
4. Executive Communications & Decision Support
• Develop executive‑ready narratives, briefings, and communications on behalf of the Leader.
• Synthesize operational data, insights, and risks into clear decision frameworks for senior leaders.
• Ensure leaders are prepared, aligned, and equipped ahead of critical conversations.
5. Business Performance & Risk Management
• Monitor business performance signals, execution risks, and dependency gaps.
• Drive early intervention on issues that could impact delivery, compliance, or leadership credibility.
• Enable proactive—not reactive—leadership.
6. Team budget planning and allocation:
• Ensure all expenses (Vendor and discretionary) meet policy and remain within budget limits. Ensure accurate tracking of actuals vs. plan, and to forecast quarter-end risks such as accruals, late charges, or vendor overruns
7. Trusted confidant for the leader and advocate:
• Operate as neutral, confidential partners to both employees and leaders. Trusted partner to leaders and employees during sensitive transitions, morale challenges, and organizational changes. Amplifies team sentiment to leadership, ensures actions from feedback, and promotes psychological safety.

Scope & Impact

• Directly influences execution effectiveness across global Delivery Partner strategy and operations.
• Interfaces regularly with senior leaders, external partners, and cross‑company stakeholders.
• Protects business outcomes by ensuring alignment, velocity, and disciplined execution.
• Enables the Senior Director to operate at the appropriate enterprise altitude, rather than being pulled into fragmented operational details.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles.
• Experience pivoting between big picture thinking and operational tactics
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

OR equivalent experience
- Experience in managing offices / chief of staff roles / business manager in a high-pace / high-stakes environment.
- Strong proficiency in verbal / written skills in crafting communications, memo's, compiling business insights.
Master's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) OR 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
• Experience in managing teams including people management (Direct / Matrixed)
• Demonstrated experience applying AI for better customer and business outcomes
• Bringing AI to your team, organization
• OR equivalent experience
