We're looking for a Commercial Planning Operations Lead to join our team to own execution of core commercial planning operations and transform how we execute planning operations at scale.

This role is responsible for ensuring planning processes run with speed, precision, and reliability, whilst improving scale and quality through automation, analytics, and continuous improvement. This role sits at the intersection of stakeholder engagement and execution - you'll leverage cutting-edge AI capabilities to streamline operations, deliver predictive insights, and ensure flawless execution of Microsoft's most critical planning activities. Responsibilities

Core Planning Operations Execution

  • Execute end-to-end commercial planning operations, including timeline management, scheduling, logistics coordination and attendee management

  • Own and maintain planning trackers, operational readiness metrics, and execution cadences

  • Manage content publishing across planning platforms with accuracy and timeliness

  • Provide operational execution support for high-visibility leadership planning events and summits

Operational Improvement Through AI, Automation & Process Optimization

  • Identify and implement high‑value automation opportunities to reduce manual effort, operational risk, and friction across planning workflows

  • Apply analytics and predictive signals to proactively monitor planning health, execution risk, and operational reliability

  • Translate operational data into clear, actionable insights that enable informed, timely stakeholder decision‑making

  • Drive continuous process improvement by challenging existing ways of working and introducing innovative, scalable approaches

  • Increase operational efficiency and resilience, freeing capacity for higher‑value strategic and forward‑looking work

Impact & Growth

As a subject matter expert, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to senior leadership, informing strategic planning decisions

  • Proactively identify complex roadblocks and drive resolution

  • Coach and guide others in operational best practices and AI adoption

  • Influence decisions through executive presence and data-driven recommendations



Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in in Near Term Strategy (1-2 years out), Management Consulting, or Finance.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years of marketing, strategy, sales, program management, project management, business planning, consulting, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.


Sales Strategy Enablement IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
