Our mission is to ensure Microsoft’s rapidly evolving security and AI tools have the highest bar for safety and security. Our team charter is to create detections on Microsoft Sentinel Graph platform to protect customer data . We need to anticipate potential threats and drive product innovation to mitigate it. Our team is dynamic and there is constant room for learning and growth, as we race to keep out well-meaning pen-test teams, as well as the not-so-well-meaning external attackers. We are looking for a Product Manager who has a deep understanding of TTPs and brings an attacker mindset. The onset of AI is enabling attackers to launch significantly sophisticated attacks, thus requiring us to build an AI powered detection platform, which is adaptive and self-healing. A seasoned Product Manager, with strong technical PM skills, deep security expertise and the ability to lead cross-functional execution will be a good fit. This position provides opportunities for cross-divisional impact through building consensus across large products like Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Security Copilot and Microsoft Sentinel Graph.

Responsibilities
  • Develop deep understanding of TTPs and attacker mindset to prioritize the most valuable detections for Microsoft's customers.
  • Understand the security data in Sentinel Graph and leverage graph query skills to ship detections protecting customer data.
  • Lay out a vision and a prioritized roadmap of product work needed to support the multitude of Microsoft customers.
  • Collaborate closely with internal security teams as well as product teams across Microsoft to architect and roll out the latest detections based on recent incident profile.
  • Define key success metrics and craft data-focused tracking of solution health and adoption.
  • Report on project status in various CVP reviews, partner briefings, and security conferences.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 5+ years of experience working in security.
  • Proven ability to influence and drive strategy at organization level scope.

Technical Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
