We are seeking a collaborative and strategic team member to support the global Partner Compliance function within MCAPS Finance Compliance. In this role, you will help strengthen Microsoft’s partner ecosystem, minimize risk, and ensure compliant processes as we continually evolve our sales strategy and capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Be a key driver on a team which will devise, own, and evangelize and effectively navigate a highly matrixed organization to deliver the future-state vision of Microsoft’s third-party risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple Microsoft channel partner compliance functions and support teams—including legal, finance, operations, sales, and strategy—to deliver a unified, clear, and actionable compliance message to channel partners.
- Consider Microsoft’s end-to-end channel partner lifecycle and known gaps to enhance relevant policies, standards, and (re)design processes and help various compliance functions execute in a more streamlined, standardized, and effective manner.
- Actively participate in compliance initiative execution to learn about the current state and associated pain points, and propose thoughtful – comprehensive and specific – people, process, and tooling design improvements aligned to the future-state vision.
- Leverage existing functions to develop monitoring capabilities, establish trends, identify emerging risks, uncover insights, and utilize data to track compliance within Microsoft and across its partner ecosystem
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing partner compliance counsel / support and ongoing risk education to Microsoft’s front-line business functions and relevant internal stakeholders as well as leadership management.
- Work with Microsoft’s partner compliance teams to help sequence and prioritize various, competing, yet important, partner compliance initiatives for maximum impact and minimum disruption/churn.
- Support channel partner change management efforts to secure buy-in and ensure critical compliance initiatives and messages land successfully the first time.
- Engage partner’s compliance contact at C-suite level and Management team to drive adherence to Microsoft channel agreement compliance requirements and ethical sales behavior.
- Monitor partner compliance and execution by utilizing Microsoft’s various partner compliance programs and engaging with partners to support the transformation and remediation of their compliance frameworks.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for partner compliance support within the assigned area or region, representing the Partner Compliance team.
- Utilize Microsoft AI and automation tools to:
- Perform data analytics and generate actionable insights, focusing compliance efforts on areas with the highest third-party risk.
- Streamline, automate, or eliminate processes to enhance business efficiency.
- Proactively identify and address emerging risks within Microsoft's channel business.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of experience in financial compliance, audit, or equivalent experience.
- Fluency in English and either Chinese or Japanese (or both), as the role primarily supports partners across the Asia Region.
- Strong interpersonal, influencing & collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience and exposure to IT industry.
- Familiarity with volume licensing/ software licensing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft partner business models and partner programs.
