Overview
Are you passionate about driving cloud transformation in the public sector? Lead our dynamic team as a Cloud and AI Platform Sales Director, where you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Microsoft Azure adoption. You will collaborate with a high-performing team of Solution Engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful cloud solutions that address complex customer needs.
As a Cloud and AI Platform Sales Director, you are the business leader with deep technical and sales knowledge within our public sector organization, working with our most important customers. A core competency of the role is to advance the engagement process to achieve/exceed quarterly Azure consumption targets across Infrastructure, Data, and AI platforms in your territory. You possess executive presence, you are able to engage with decision makers to drive AI transformation, and have an insatiable interest for learning how Azure cloud services can deliver digital transformation. You will remove roadblocks to deployment and drive customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Develops and drives go-to-market sales strategy and execution to ensure success within their market based on Microsoft's and customer/partner needs.
  • Defines ongoing and long-term customer value realization and satisfaction strategies contributing to net-new revenue and business growth.
  • Leverages industry and market expertise, proactively leading teams to identify solutions to drive new opportunities and strategies in alignment with customer needs.
  • Defines expectations and sets strategies for teams to leverage drivers of Digital & Artificial Intelligence transformation relevant to their customers and partners across business units.
  • Fosters and defines a culture of inclusion, learning, mentorship, coaching, customer-centricity, accountability, collaboration, and achievement of bold goals.
  • Builds and maintains a broad executive network inclusive of partners. In addition, this role has people management responsibilities including driving employee growth and development, executing projects, and managing performance.
  • You also lead your team to plan and execute strategies for driving and closing opportunities, and to identify new partners and evaluate partner capabilities. You coach your team to learn about and apply the orchestration model, and support them in participating in Microsoft events. Additionally, you act as the spokesman for Microsoft at external events and coach your team about Microsoft technology differentiators/competitive advantage.
  • You lead your team to optimize the portfolio and facilitate customer innovation, and guide them on ensuring customer/partner satisfaction. Moreover, you drive and oversee integrated strategic planning and guide your team in whitespace analysis and support them to identify potential new business in their assigned territories. Finally, you oversee the end-to-end business and complete required training and obtain relevant product and role certifications.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology-related sales or account management OR equivalent experience.

Cloud Azure and/or Consumption experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • 11+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 12+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, Analytics, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 10+ years solution or services sales experience.
  • 7+ years senior technical sales leadership experience in cloud services growth and consumption.


Solution Area Specialists M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $142,800 - CAD $214,900 per year.
