We are looking for a Business Analyst to support the ANZ subsidiary in delivering on these goals.
Responsibilities
As a BPM you will play a critical role in supporting the subsidiary’s business planning, performance tracking, and operational execution. You’ll partner closely with local and regional stakeholders to deliver insights that guide decision-making, optimize resource allocation, and align with Microsoft’s broader go-to-market strategy. This role is essential in enabling the subsidiary to execute with agility and precision, using data to drive impact.
The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, with exceptional communication and executive presence.
- Own the holistic and forward thinking data and analytics roadmap and strategy for the program team and ensure it aligns with the broader subsidiary data strategy, including assessing when to use PowerBI or other tools to most effectively delivery
- Implement the data strategy and own the accompanying internal analyses and tools; identify opportunities to improve outside of the current line of sight
- Innovate and create next-generation tools, dashboards, and insights to enhance business efficiency and inform strategic decisions
- Translate findings into succinct, actionable business insights, often in coordination with Sales Excellence Managers who help you tell a holistic story
- Communicate results effectively for impact and provide follow-up insights in a timely manner
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- This position requires verification of Australian citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions applicable to the role and as a result, you will need to provide a valid passport to verify your citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis.
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerBI, Power Query, and Power Apps.
- Statistical analysis skills and knowledge of statistical software (for example, SPSS or R), including the application of multivariate models
- Ability to use low code (e.g. SQL) to process large data
- Ability to translate sometimes ambiguous requests and questions into testable hypotheses, conduct relevant analyses, and generate actionable insights from findings.
- Basic project management skills, including ability to align expectations on project deliverables, drive progress toward key milestones, and identify risks and dependencies.
- Familiarity with business planning cycles, performance metrics, and operational reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align on deliverables, timelines, and priorities.
