You’ll champion consumer-first design principles while thoughtfully balancing the needs of prosumers, freelancers, students, and small-business owners.
A key part of this role is ensuring capabilities and UX coherence with Microsoft’s productivity suite offering driving familiarity and easy adoption in the workplace. By translating insights from consumer and prosumer users into roadmaps that scale to business users, you’ll help create a clear, connected offering that empowers everyone to achieve more. You’ll work on consumer Copilot with a Productivity Lense.

Starting January 26, 2026, MAI employees are expected to work from a designated Microsoft office at least four days a week if they live within 50 miles (U.S.) or 25 miles (non-U.S., country-specific) of that location. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Create 0 to 1 products that transform cutting-edge AI capabilities into world-class applications of LLM.
- Contribute to the product vision and roadmap for Microsoft Copilot (consumer/prosumer product) that enable Productivity and M365 workflows in Microsoft Copilot
- Be responsible for understanding user needs and behaviors, defining product requirements, managing end to end product development, launches and iterations.
- Partner with design, engineering, and data science to deliver delightful, high-utility features.
- Establish metrics and evaluations for model responses, capabilities, and user behaviors. Establish clear goals, design experiments, and measure success through data analysis and research insights.
- Advocate for cross-platform consistency (desktop, mobile, web) that meets the diverse needs of our users.
- Find paths to get things done despite roadblocks to get your work into the hands of users quickly and iteratively.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product management or software development OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product or software development OR equivalent experience.
- Experience as a startup founder is a plus.
- Demonstrated success building productivity products. Experience integrating with Microsoft’s suite of products is not required but is a helpful plus.
- Proven track record as a product manager with firsthand experience prompting, evaluating and deploying LLM applications into production.
- Track record of creating design-driven consumer products from concept to launch and finding product market fit.
- Demonstrated success building consumer products that leverage Machine Learning or Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Have experience in working side-by-side with AI researchers and engineers.
- Experienced in concurrently driving multiple high stakes, time sensitive projects that span teams and time zones.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements and deadlines.
- Demonstrate a proactive attitude and enthusiasm for exploring new methods and technologies.
- Visionary but pragmatic. You can develop a vision and also lay out clear steps to get there.
- Working knowledge of SQL and coding skills (Python, JavaScript) is a plus.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.
