The Cloud Solution Architecture role involves gathering customer insights, mapping architecture, and proposing digital transformation solutions based on Microsoft technologies. The role requires coaching team members to focus on customer experience through efficient delivery, driving adherence to Microsoft standards and recommended practices, and providing a holistic perspective of customer challenges and competitor architectures. The role is within the CSA Global Delivery team. It is a centralized group consisting of both full-time employees (FTEs) and Partner CSAs dedicated to enhancing the customer's experience with Microsoft as they transition to hybrid/public cloud solutions. We achieve this by offering our customers value through adaptable and efficient delivery methods, all underpinned by standardized processes.
We are looking for a Cloud Solution Architect (CSA), specializing in Microsoft Security who is passionate about driving our customers’ security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 Platforms and Hybrid Scenarios. This is a customer-facing role, owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements.

Responsibilities
- You will drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor as well as provide feedback and insights from customers/partners and be the Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
- You will land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (i.e., Zero Trust) which spans the breadth of Microsoft Security offerings, and with focus on Threat Protection, ID + Access Management and Cloud Security.
- You will position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage as you develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results & help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments and identify resolutions to Customer blockers by leveraging SA subject matter expertise. Deliver according to MS best practices & using repeatable IP.
- You will accelerate Business Value of overall Security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring that the solution exhibits “Secure by Design” framework, such as high-performance levels, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment.
- You will align your individual skilling to team/area demands & Customer Success goals as you accelerate customer outcomes and share your expertise, contribute to Intellectual Property (IP) creation & re-use to accelerate customer outcomes.
- You will run Architectural Design Sessions to build a plan for implementing the solution – governing design in line with customer business goals and their technical environment. Outcome is consensus on solution design and next steps toward production.
- You will collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and MS stakeholders including FastTrack, partner, and Microsoft Consulting in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.
- You May also be asked to lead a team of Partner CSAs (POD) should a need arise
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND solid experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience
Certifications (Microsoft + Industry):
- Microsoft: AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert), AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer Associate), SC-100 OR SC-200 (Security Operations Analyst)
- Other Vendors: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, and SIEM/XDR vendor certifications (e.g., Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, Splunk)
Proven Customer Engagements:
- Demonstrated experience delivering security solutions (Microsoft XDR, Sentinel, Entra) and multi-cloud architectures in real-world projects.
Executive Communication Skills:
- Ability to present complex security strategies to C-level stakeholders and influence decisions.
SOC & XDR Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Security Operations Center workflows, threat detection, and incident response across multiple platforms.
Collaborative Leadership:
- Track record of working across technical teams, partners, and customers to drive secure solution adoption.
Strategic Impact:
- Evidence of improving customer security posture and contributing to reusable IP or frameworks.
Growth Mindset & Continuous Learning:
- Commitment to staying current with Microsoft security technologies and other vendor solutions.
