Overview
As a Senior Launch Program Manager for Microsoft Devices, you will lead the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume hardware product launches—from concepts through ramping up production and delivery. You will align and drive cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and business units to deliver best-in-class products and operational solutions. This highly collaborative role requires strong technical acumen, exceptional program management skills, and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization, including senior management at contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality hardware products from inception to mass production.
  • Establish clear goals, objectives, and roles & responsibilities among diverse groups, ensuring alignment and accountability.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project infrastructure, including schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee build readiness, including BOM, equipment, production lines, and daily progress/yield reporting for successful product builds.
  • Drive effective risk management, timely decision-making, and issue resolution to ensure product quality and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with engineering leaders and teams to deliver world-class manufacturing and test systems.
  • Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to all levels of management, including senior leadership at contract manufacturers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data and feedback to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field AND 4+ years experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, program management, hardware development, or consumer electronics
    • OR equivalent experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related area.
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality consumer electronics products on time.
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing disciplines and product development processes; supplier management experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including coordinating schedules and resources across multiple time zones.
  • Ability to define clarity from ambiguity and manage complex, cross-functional dependencies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken to a high standard.
  • Passion for consumer electronics and continuous improvement.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in program or project management within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environments, with at least 6 years in electronics manufacturing.
