Overview

The Security Solution Area Specialist is a senior individual contributor role responsible for driving Microsoft's Security business across enterprise and strategic customers. This role leads AI-enabled security sales motions, shapes customer transformation strategies, and orchestrates cross-functional teams to land comprehensive security solutions.



Responsibilities

• Lead pipeline reviews using AI-powered analytics to drive forecast accuracy, coaching teams on hygiene, adoption, and renewals.
• Analyze market and business opportunities, integrating AI and automation to strengthen customer portfolios and innovation strategies.
• Conduct whitespace analysis leveraging AI-driven insights to evolve territory and account strategies.
• Engage senior executives to identify and accelerate high-value opportunities, aligning AI transformation to business and security priorities.
• Use predictive analytics to align sales plays with complex outcomes and drive cross-functional orchestration.
• Lead cross‑organizational partnerships to design and deliver AI- and cloud-driven security transformations.
• Assess, qualify, and strategize opportunities through AI-enhanced frameworks, ensuring seamless orchestration and risk mitigation.
• Tailor sales strategies to customer security priorities while activating partner co-selling motions for scaled impact.



Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business, Information Security, or related field AND 6+ years technology sales/account management experience.


Preferred Qualifications:
• MBA or related Master’s degree AND 8+ years experience OR Bachelor's + 12+ years total experience.
• 6+ years solution or services sales experience in security or cloud transformation.

• Communication excellence: storytelling, presentations, written and verbal communication, conflict resolution.
• Solution selling: consultative selling, negotiation, problem solving, creativity, technical sales.
• Sales strategy & operations: decision making, opportunity orchestration, account operations.
• Strategic partnerships: executive engagement, trusted advisor capability, partner integration.
• Strategic sales management: forecasting, pipeline management, financial analysis, change management.
• Strong business acumen including AI, Microsoft Cloud, and security industry knowledge.
