Overview

An Account Executive, Enterprise builds strong customer relationships and applies Microsoft sales strategies to align goals and drive execution. They deeply understand customer needs and industry trends, lead digital transformation, and create business value. By developing and executing account plans, they generate high-volume sales, set strategic priorities, and allocate resources effectively. The role involves coordinating with internal partners, fostering trust with executives, leading expert teams, and translating solutions into measurable business impact. Additionally, they craft persuasive presentations, identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities, and stay informed about the industry and competitors.



Responsibilities

Account Management

  • Leads the development and execution of strategic account plans for multiple clients by coordinating diverse teams, engaging internal and external partners, and driving high-volume sales and mutual business growth in alignment with customer goals and forecasts.
  • Expands networks, influences decision making, and oversees complex account management by prioritizing key opportunities, mitigating risks, and ensuring seamless account transactions and business outcomes for both Microsoft and its customers.

Customer Engagement

  • Drives business transformation for assigned accounts by leveraging technology, consultative engagement, and innovative ideas—building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, influencing change, and proactively delivering business value and competitive advantage.
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends, advocates for customer priorities internally, and connects customers with relevant Microsoft and partner resources to deliver tailored solutions and foster long-term growth and loyalty.

Sales Excellence

  • Proactively gathers and acts on customer feedback to enhance satisfaction, orchestrates internal teams to resolve issues and establish measurable success criteria, and builds executive relationships to foster trust and prevent future challenges.
  • Develops persuasive business cases and tailored strategies to expand opportunities, positions Microsoft as a trusted advisor, and aligns solutions with customer objectives by leveraging industry expertise and maintaining comprehensive stakeholder mapping.


Qualifications

Required qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 4+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology)
    • OR equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 8+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 12+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education), driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience (e.g., consulting, technology) OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years account management experience OR equivalent.
