Overview
Microsoft Global Manufacturing Operations team in Asia is expanding in Vietnam. This position will be part of the Test Engineering team in Hai Phong, Vietnam. We are looking for a technical contributor on the fast-paced, high-energy team responsible for developing, deploying and maintaining manufacturing test solution software for Surface products by collaborating with the Test Engineering team in China. The candidate must not only know how to write code to interrogate specific hardware features, but also be able to work cross-functionally with SW and HW engineers. This position will work closely with key manufacturing partners on significant advances in design, engineering, manufacturing, and tests of high-volume products. This position will involve developing complete test software solutions, delivering complex projects and solving technical problems under pressure and tight schedules. Along with providing solutions for specific product lines like Surface, and Xbox, this position will participate in defining and building the new platform that will be leveraged by all hardware products. Technical strengths must include knowledge of hardware and software development and quality assurance.

Responsibilities
  • You will work closely with key manufacturing partners on significant advances in design, engineering, manufacturing, and test of high-volume products.
  • You will work with a team of engineers to build integrated solutions that include hardware and software, where the software is deployed to manufacturing facilities via Azure, all over the world.
  • Along with providing solutions for specific product lines like Surface, Xbox and accessories, you will participate in defining and building the new platform that will be leveraged by all hardware products. Knowledge of medium to high volume consumer product manufacturing, hardware production lifecycles, and new hardware product launch processes are strongly desired.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong programming skills and hands on experience on C#/C++, .NET Framework, WPF, WCF, and PowerShell scripting languages.
  • Strong software development and debug skills on driver level, middle-level libraries and application-level foundations.
  • Good knowledge and background on hardware modules such as WiFi, Bluetooth, Audio, Optical, Sensors, Multi-touch, and etc. Knowing how to program and test these hardware modules is desired.
  • Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing will be an advantage.

Preferred Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Science/Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronic Technology, or equivalent field of studies with at least 5 years working experience in related field
    • OR equivalent experience.
