As a Commercial Executive, you’ll be the trusted advisor who designs and executes commercial strategies that deliver value to customers and drive Microsoft’s growth. You’ll lead complex negotiations, simplify commercial constructs, and ensure every deal is compliant, profitable, and aligned to customer needs. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role where your expertise in deal making, negotiation and strategic engagement will directly influence business outcomes.

Responsibilities
Drive Strategic Customer Engagement: Lead proactive, high-impact conversations with customers and partners to align commercial strategies with business needs and deliver measurable value.
Own Complex Deal Execution: Independently structure and negotiate commercial deals, leveraging internal resources and ensuring compliance with Microsoft policies and local regulations.
Champion Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with sales, finance, legal, and partner teams to deliver seamless commercial solutions and accelerate cloud and annuity growth.
Shape Commercial Strategy: Use deep industry and product knowledge to influence pricing, licensing, and contracting approaches that simplify and optimise customer outcomes.
Lead with Insight and Empathy: Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders by understanding their priorities and crafting value-based solutions that drive mutual success.
Innovate and Influence: Identify new business opportunities, contribute to account planning, and provide feedback to improve Microsoft’s commercial offerings and go-to-market strategies.
Mentor and Elevate Others: Share expertise, support onboarding, and foster a culture of learning, compliance, and operational excellence across teams.
Deliver Results with Integrity: Balance risk, compliance, and business growth while maintaining Microsoft’s high standards of ethical selling and customer-centricity.
Qualifications
Required (RQs)
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience
OR
7+ years sales and negotiation experience
OR
equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications (PQs)
Experience in negotiation of licensing terms and contract management
In-depth and strategic understanding of Microsoft commercial licensing programs will be essential and is preferred but not required at hiring
Positive attitude and a passion for working with customers and partners
Excellent and demonstrated communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated planning expertise given complex environments; ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities and re-prioritize as necessary to align with current business objectives.
