Within CE&S, the Customer Service & Support (CSS) organization builds trust and confidence for every person and organization through delivering a seamless support experience. We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade business reporting solutions within a Microsoft data ecosystem. This role plays a critical part in enabling data-driven decision-making across Finance and Capacity Management, delivering insights that drive operational efficiency, resource planning, and financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, semantic data modelling, and SQL, with a strong understanding of financial and operational metrics. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Power BI Developer will deliver scalable, secure, and visually compelling analytics solutions aligned to Microsoft best practices.

Responsibilities

Dashboard & Report Development
• Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports to visualize Finance and Resourcing data.
• Create intuitive, accurate, and visually engaging analytics solutions aligned with business and stakeholder requirements.
• Build and maintain datasets, measures, parameters, and custom visuals using Power BI Desktop, publishing and managing them in Power BI Service and workspaces.
Data Modelling & Integration
• Develop high-performance semantic data models using DAX, Power Query (M), and Microsoft-recommended star schema principles.
• Integrate and transform data from diverse enterprise systems—including capacity management tools, SQL Server, Azure data sources, APIs, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Apply data warehousing, dimensional modelling, and Microsoft Fabric/Power BI best practices to ensure scalability and maintainability.
Performance, Governance & Scalability
• Optimize model design, queries, and datasets for performance.
• Implement enterprise-grade data governance and security, including Row-Level Security (RLS), workspace governance, deployment pipelines, and adherence to organizational compliance protocols.
• Configure and maintain data refresh schedules, on-premises data gateways, and automated refresh pipelines.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Finance and Capacity Planning teams to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into actionable BI solutions.
• Present insights and complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
• Provide training, documentation, and support to promote self-service BI adoption within the Microsoft analytics environment.
Continuous Improvement & Support
• Monitor and maintain existing dashboards, semantic models, and datasets to ensure ongoing accuracy and performance.
• Troubleshoot issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement enhancements following agile or iterative development practices.
• Stay current on new Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, and broader Microsoft analytics ecosystem features to continuously improve reporting capabilities.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI development in an enterprise or Microsoft-centric environment.
  • Advanced skills in DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic model design.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational database systems such as SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, operational metrics (capacity, utilization, productivity), and KPI frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
