The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovation solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty.


The Business Strategy Analyst will lead data, analytics, and reporting initiatives globally for the Field Enablement and Partner Strategy team within Microsoft’s Security Customer Success Unit. This role is pivotal in enabling the organization’s global field and partners to deliver world-class post-sales outcomes through strategic insights, operational telemetry, and scalable reporting systems.

You will work closely with leaders across skilling, technical skilling, partner strategy, and community and communications, as well as the broader business strategy team to understand data and reporting requirements across these disciplines to thereafter build and deliver reporting systems and insights that will inform business decision-making, strategic planning, and operational requirements for a variety of global initiatives designed to enable our customers to maximize the value of their Microsoft Security investments.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 1+ year(s) marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in business analytics, data strategy, or operational reporting within a large-scale enterprise or partner ecosystem and strong proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and data integration tools (e.g., Dataverse, APIs).

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or related field AND 3+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Liberal Arts, Computer Science, or related field AND 5+ years marketing, strategy, business planning, consulting, banking, finance, economics, and/or partner organization experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience in Strategy, Management Consulting, and/or Finance.

Business Strategy IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain dashboards and reporting systems that provide real-time, role-specific insights sufficient to help Executive stakeholders around the world understand business performance and inform ongoing business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders both on the team and across the company to ensure reporting solutions are aligned with business outcomes and organizational strategic priorities.
  • Support various rhythms of the business and Executive reviews (MBRs) with curated insights and impact measurement.
  • Lead automation efforts to streamline data ingestion, milestone uploads, and reduce manual overhead.
  • Translate complex data into actionable insights through storytelling, visualizations, and executive-ready reporting.
