Overview

Are you interested in building AI Agent platforms and agentic experiences that solve mission critical enterprise problems? Our team is responsible for Evals and Experimentation across Dynamics 365, supporting multiple Agent teams and delivering quality AI solutions at planet scale. We partner closely with Applied Science, Product Management, and Engineering teams to ensure every AI feature has data sets, evaluation metrics and experimentation processes integrated with their release pipelines and production deployments. We are looking for a Software Engineer II to work across the stack and ensure that our partner teams have everything they need to move fast and deliver the most impactful Agents to all our Dynamics 365 customers.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of experience building cloud-based SaaS applications
  • 1+ year of experience with coding, debugging, design, testing, and problem-solving

Other Requirements:


Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or other enterprise resource and planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience in building cloud-based SaaS applications
  • Experience with microservices principles
  • Experience with X++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, and SQL
  • Experience with MCP servers, analytics, or agent evaluation frameworks.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $100,600 - $199,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $131,400 - $215,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop features with a focus on quality, usability & performance.
  • Participate in livesite operations with an emphasis on timely response, delivery, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Collaborate across internal & external stakeholders including mentoring others.
  • Work across the stack to lead delivery of end-to-end agent platform features (lifecycle, deployment, observability) that scale across enterprise workloads.
  • Own evaluations and experimentation pipelines to allow partner teams to define hypotheses, design A/B experiments, instrument metrics, and analyze results to drive product decisions.
  • Build and maintain evaluation suites for agents (quality, safety, latency, cost) and integrate evaluations into CI/CD to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Prototype rapidly, iterate on architecture and UX, and lead technical tradeoffs that improve reliability, performance, and automation.
