Overview

Our team is building Azure’s next-generation platform capabilities to support the evolving needs of regulated financial institutions in the digital assets space. We aim to deliver secure, scalable, and privacy-preserving infrastructure across global markets.


As a Principal Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and customer engagement for Azure’s digital assets platform targeting financial institutions. You will lead cross-functional efforts to define product capabilities, validate with early adopters, and scale to broader markets.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 3+ years experience in product management for cloud infrastructure, blockchain, or core banking services.
  • 3+ years experience of privacy-preserving technologies, tokenization, and compliance frameworks.
  • 5+ years experience of leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives with clarity and urgency.
  • 5+ years experience with a bias for execution and customer impact.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management
    • OR software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of direct experience in financial services.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the product vision for Azure’s digital assets infrastructure.You will define a feature set and facilitate senior-level reviews with customers and leadership.
  • You’ll own the roadmap for multiple feature areas across Azure and will collaborate with partner teams.
  • Partner with engineering, GTM, and customer success teams to deliver milestones including migration success, pilots, and production services.
  • Engage directly with financial institutions to understand requirements, validate solutions, and ensure adoption.
  • Track success metrics including workload stability, performance benchmarks, customer adoption, and revenue growth.
