Overview

The Microsoft 365 Consumer Marketing Team is looking for an AI savvy Senior Product Marketer to join our team. Within the consumer marketing team, the Applications & Services team oversees end-to-end marketing for key products in the Microsoft 365 portfolio: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Defender, Designer and the Microsoft 365 Copilot App. Microsoft’s productivity services are trusted by millions of people worldwide as their essential tools for staying connected, organized, and productive.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in Product Marketing
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in Product Marketing
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience executing marketing programs and campaigns.
  • Experience partnering with engineering teams to influence product value.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in Product Marketing
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in Product Marketing
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally successfully.
  • Experience with consumer freemium software or services.
  • Experience with AI technologies and experience driving AI adoption in consumer products.

Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end go-to-market strategies, collaborating with engineering, integrated marketing, and business planning teams.
  • Partner closely with engineering to understand product direction, influence feature prioritization, and ensure marketing plans align with product capabilities.
  • Define and communicate compelling value propositions, leveraging AI capabilities to drive user engagement and tell impactful stories.
  • Analyze user data and acquisition motions to identify growth opportunities and optimize marketing tactics.
  • Lead outbound messaging for a stand-alone application and partner with copywriters to bring messaging to life.
  • Utilize innovative digital marketing tactics to generate awareness, advocacy, and acquisition of new users, including building partnerships to amplify reach.
  • Support key feature releases and launch moments, with a focus on AI-powered experiences.
  • Design and execute tests and programs to drive growth, continuously seeking optimization and new opportunities.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success and inform future strategy.
