Overview

The wider IC3 team builds the Intelligent Conversation and Communications Cloud. IC3 develops Microsoft’s first-party real-time conversation products by providing reliable, high-quality audio and video calling, meetings, and chat services that work every time, from anywhere, on any device. Our small IC3 Media Benchmarking team, in turn, helps the wider team by testing the true end-to-end user experience of audio and video quality.

As an Audio/Video Software Quality Engineer, you will help us advance the test lab and build new testing harnesses, develop automation code to run tests, collect and process data, and eventually help analyze and summarize the outcomes. This opportunity will allow you to work with both software and hardware, learn about the intricacies of audio and video transmission over networks, and understand how to map quality to user ratings and preferences. As we run many smaller projects, there is a perfect opportunity to involve GitHub Copilot in the mix and practice coding with the full help of AI and agents.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
