Microsoft Surface is transforming how businesses work and connect. We are searching for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our team! In this role, you will lead strategies that scale Surface adoption through distribution partners, drive Small and medium Business (SMB) growth, and optimize partner onboarding experiences. This role combines strategic marketing, partner engagement, and operational excellence to accelerate Surface’s impact in commercial markets.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in product marketing, partner marketing, or go-to-market strategy in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) space.

  • 3+ years of experience interpreting data and customer insights to inform strategy and measure

    impact.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and partner teams to influence product development and go-to-market readiness.
  • Understanding of partner and commercial channel dynamics, including attach strategies for accessories, warranties, and services.
  • Effective communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences and formats (e.g., demos, presentations, sales enablement).


Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Responsibilities

You will drive go-to-market strategies for Surface Thru Partner Marketing:

  • Develop and execute partner scale programs through distribution partners to expand Surface reach in Small and Medium Business (SMB) segments.
  • Own go-to-market strategies for partner-led initiatives, ensuring alignment with Surface business priorities.
  • Manage contracts and agreements for commercial resellers, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Design and implement onboarding strategies for partners, collaborating with engineering teams to build tooling in Partner Center.
  • Partner with sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver seamless partner experiences and accelerate time-to-market.
  • Monitor and analyze program performance, providing insights to optimize engagement and growth.

You will collaborate with Surface Sales and Marketing teams to:

  • Scale breadth reseller program leveraging the unique opportunities of each market.
  • Help identify distribution growth opportunities through market trends and partner feedback.
  • Implement the adoption and field readiness strategy for the Surface Reseller Migration to Partner Center.
  • Develop a compelling business case and secured support to compliantly launch the Breadth Expansion.
  • Manage Channel Investments and Budget Request Process.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with:

  • Consumer Channel Sales, Surface Commercial sales Category, and partner teams to align execution plans
  • Customer insights and research teams to validate messaging and audience targeting.
  • Global and regional marketing teams to ensure consistency and scalability.
