We are seeking a Senior Standards Professional – Supply Chain Traceability to lead standards initiatives for data center supply chain management, ensuring responsible sourcing and technical harmonization that supports Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience in standards development or supply chain management.
- 4+ years experience with data center operations and its global supply chains.
- 4+ years of negotiation and multi-stakeholder engagement skills.
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 12+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Expertise in IEFT, ISO, IEC, GS1or NIST standards and responsible sourcing frameworks.
- Experience in tech diplomacy and cross-industry standards negotiations.
- Knowledge of environmental and labor compliance standards.
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead Standards Strategy: Define and execute Microsoft’s approach to supply chain-related standards (ISO, GS1, NIST, IETF, W3C).
- Represent Microsoft Globally: Engage in standards bodies and industry consortia to influence frameworks and best practices.
- Drive Responsible Sourcing: Champion standards for traceability, anti-forced labor compliance, and environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Azure CTO, Azure Identity Management, procurement, legal, and policy teams to align standards with business objectives.
