Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR 13+ years experience in working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives.
  • 8+ years experience closing large, complex agreements/deals.
  • 5+ years Industry experience and experience with making recommendations at C-level, business decision makers clients/customers.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 13+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 11+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., financial services, retail, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, government, education, technology) and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience.
  • 11+ years experience seeking to solve for complex customer challenges.
  • 11+ years experience leadership, building trust and exhibiting credibility across all levels of organizations.
Strategic Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.

  • Drive Strategic Partnerships: Lead net-new engagements focused on transformative deals exceeding $100M, positioning Microsoft as the partner of choice.
  • Shape Customer Vision: Define and articulate a clear roadmap for customer success, anchored in business outcomes and accelerated AI adoption.
  • Orchestrate Impact: Mobilize virtual teams across ATU/STU and leadership to deliver unified strategies and breakthrough solutions.
  • Lead Executive Negotiations: Engage CxOs in high-stakes discussions on commercial, contractual, and strategic partnership terms.
  • Deliver Business Outcomes: Maintain laser focus on revenue growth, consumption targets, and measurable customer impact through disciplined pipeline and forecasting.
  • Elevate Conversations: Leverage deep industry insights and technical acumen to challenge the status quo and inspire innovation.
  • Accelerate Digital Transformation: Drive adoption of Microsoft Cloud and AI solutions that deliver efficiency, cost savings, and competitive advantage.
  • Champion Customer Success: Align objectives, plans, and execution to deliver world-class experiences and enduring partnerships.
  • Influence at Scale: Build coalitions across Microsoft’s Executive Leadership Team and field organizations to amplify impact.
  • Own the Americas Portfolio: Manage strategic opportunities across the region, collaborating with local account teams and senior stakeholders.
