As a Solution Area Specialist, you will participate in strategic discussions with customer stakeholders and decision-makers to identify and qualify new sales opportunities. You will leverage whitespace analysis and AI-driven market intelligence tools to uncover business potential and assess emerging trends within your assigned market domain. By assisting in the evaluation of solution areas, you will help align sales plays with evolving customer needs, using predictive analytics to anticipate future market demands. You will collaborate cross-functionally to co-develop solutions that drive AI- and cloud-powered transformations tailored to customer priorities. Engaging in sales pipeline reviews, you will contribute to forecasting accuracy and support sales target achievement through the use of AI-powered analytics. You will also play a key role in reinforcing Microsoft’s commitment to secure, AI-driven transformation by aligning customer goals with success plans. Throughout your internship, you will foster long-term partnerships by integrating AI-driven insights into solution development and sales strategies.

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (i.e., MBA), Information Technology, Information Security, or related field

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1-4 years experience in technology-related sales or account management

Responsibilities

  • Ensures customers understand Microsoft’s commitment to secure, AI-powered transformation by aligning their priorities with tailored customer success plans and fostering long-term partnerships through AI-driven insights.
  • Activates partner teams and resources early in the sales lifecycle to drive co-selling strategies and enhance partner engagement, ensuring alignment with execution plans for scalable customer value.
  • Assesses and qualifies sales opportunities using AI-enhanced sales methodologies and collaborates across teams to support strategy development and deal closure.
  • Participates in sales pipeline reviews to improve forecasting accuracy and meet sales targets, leveraging AI-powered analytics and maintaining pipeline hygiene for consistent tracking.
  • Monitors solution adoption and usage trends to identify growth opportunities, support customer innovation, and drive expansion and predictable renewals.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to align customer AI transformation goals with business priorities, incorporating security principles to maintain trust and compliance.
  • Utilizes market intelligence, whitespace analysis, and predictive analytics to identify trends, align sales strategies with customer needs, and support digital transformation initiatives.
